Anacreon of Teos (born ca. 570 BC, died ca. 485 BC) – Greek poet from the Ionian city of Teos. He died in his hometown of Teos, at the age of 85, from choking on a grape. Anacreon was the author of iambic poetry, lyric songs, and elegies celebrating wine, song, and love. Much of his work has survived only in fragments.
