Kazimierz Morawski (born January 29, 1852, died August 25, 1925) – Polish classical philologist, historian, professor and rector of the Jagiellonian University, president of the Polish Academy of Learning. His scientific interests included Roman rhetoric, history and topography of Rome, Hellenistic studies, Polish-Latin literature, history of Polish culture, history of the Jagiellonian University. Sienkiewicz consulted with him while working on the novel Quo Vadis. Morawski analyzed the works of Tacitus and conducted comparative research on ancient authors. In his extensive, seven-volume work Historia literatury rzymskiej (1909–1921), he presented a synthesis of the history of Latin literature to the end of the 3rd century AD.
