Sallust (Gaius Sallustius Crispus, born 86 BC, died 34 BC) – Roman historian and politician. Author of De coniuratione Calilinae (The Conspiracy of Catiline) andBellum Iugurthinum(The Yogurt War) and Historiae (The Histories). The first two works have survived to our times in their entirety, the last, the most mature and extensive, has survived fragmentarily.
