William Pitt the Younger (born May 28, 1759, died January 23, 1806), Prime Minister of Great Britain in the years 1783-1801 and 1804-1806. At the age of 24, he became the youngest head of government in British history and one of the most distinguished. He led Great Britain out of the crisis after the defeat in the war with the United States. He also prepared it for the war with revolutionary and Napoleonic France.
