Zygmunt (Napoleon Stanisław Adam Ludwik) Krasiński. An outstanding romantic artist, poet, prose writer, playwright and philosopher. He was born on 19 February 1812 in Paris, and died there on 23 February 1859. A declared conservative and enemy of the revolution. Son of General Wincenter Krasiński, commander of the famous cavalry regiment of Napoleon I's guard, and at the end of his life acting governor of the Kingdom of Poland.
