The Un-Divine Comedy Seen Differently
SHARE
We generally try to give our books a classical character. Somewhere at the root of this choice lies the unshakable conviction that the most beautiful books were published somewhere between 1780 and 1820.
The only thing is that not all of our readers share such tastes. They buy the book block itself and entrust the binding to bookbinders of their choice.
Below is one of such works. The Un-Divine Comedy made Jacek Tylkowski from Poznań. Binding in the style of Otto Dorfner (1885–1955), one of the most outstanding pre-war German bookbinders.
The Un-Divine Comedy we published in 2019. The book was printed on cotton paper Johannot from Annonay, set in a font cut by Michel Viberta for Pierre Didot .
The typeface was first used in the book Petit Careme Jean-Baptiste Massillon published in Paris in 1812.
Edition of 25 copies.
